Full Member

Any person who is registered in New York State as a Physician Assistant and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Affiliate Member

Any person who is registered in New York State as a Physician Assistant and is eligible for fellow membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants but who chooses not to become such.

Associate Member

Physician Assistants from other states or Physician Assistants in New York State who are not employed; non-physician assistants who wish to support the efforts of the Society, and other persons, at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

Sustaining Member

A Physician Assistant eligible for Full or Affiliate membership who has chosen to not practice in a Physician Assistant-oriented career or has retired from the PA profession.

Student Member

Any student enrolled in an approved New York State Physician Assistant Program.

Hardship Membership

Any person eligible for Full or Affiliate membership, but whose special circumstances make payment of dues an unreasonable hardship. The Board of Directors will review the hardship category. Items such as a 1040 tax form, health care provider statement(s) and other documentation are required.

Honorary Member

Any person who has rendered outstanding service to NYSSPA, as determined by the Board of Directors.
